Superfund, the United States' program for cleaning up the nation's worst polluted properties, turns 35 years old this year. Of 1,322 sites on the program's National Priorities List, New Jersey is home to the most, with 114. Pennsylvania has the third most, at 95. Rounding out the top five states are California in second place, with 97, along with New York (85) and Michigan (66).
